Rolex Explorer 6610
The Rolex Explorer takes its name from Rolex’s involvement with exploration. The Explorer’s official story famously takes shape with Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay’s pioneering ascent to Mount Everest in 1953. To commemorate the feat Rolex released the Oyster Perpetual Explorer that same year. The Watch we propose is a later version born in 1955: the reference 6610.
Dial: Original Gilt dial.
Case: Brevet 36mm Stainless Steel Case. Serial Number 114XXX.
Movement: Automatic Rolex 1030.
Strap: The watch comes with a JPM strap.
Condition: The Watch is in Excellent Condition. The gilt dial is in very good condition with its original radium. The hands are original, gold finish, and retain the original luminous mass. The case appears to be in very good condition, the reference and the serial number are perfectly readable. The Brevet Crown is correct for the case. The 1030 Movement is in very good condition and works well.
