Noblex Squale Tropical 100 Atmos
Already from 1949 Charles Von Buren started assembling watches under his own name in Neuchâtel (Switzerland). By the late ’50s, sport diving was so popular and the watches used by divers to track their time underwater, like Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms, Rolex’s Submariner, and Omega’s Seamaster 300, were becoming popular with it. Von Buren took an interest in the sport, dabbling in some diving in the chilly waters of nearby Lake Neuchatel, and not long after began crafting dive watch cases. In 1959, Von Buren distinguished his diving watches by adopting the name “Squale”, which comes from the italian word “Squalo” (shark), and adding the now-familiar curved shark logo to the dial.
